Garden for Lingering    Suzhou, Jiangsu Province

One of the largest gardens, the Garden for Lingering was created during the Ming dynasty. It boasts an impressive collection of bonsai but its main draw is a six-meter (18 foot) chunk of rock from Taihu Lake known as the Crown of Clouds Peak. Women dressed in Ming dynasty regalia play instruments and sing in the pavilions to give the garden more of a lived-in feel.
