Xi'an City Wall
Xi'an, Shaanxi Province
The Xi'an City Wall was built approximately 600 years ago by Hongwu, the founder of the Ming dynasty. The wall is 8.5mi (14km) long and 40ft. high. The top is wide enough to drive two cars side by side. This wall is also the most complete and best-preserved city wall in all of China. In order to get a better idea of the scale of the wall, bicycles are available for rent and provide a nice view of the city.
